The 15th Annual ACTRA Awards
In 2017, I was hired to live tweet the 15th Annual ACTRA Awards. My team member and I were responsible for all content creation and audience engagement throughout the event. Duties included taking photos of prominent ACTRA members, nominees, and supporters, and posting them to the ACTRA Twitter account's 18,000+ followers immediately and accurately.
Achievements included record high audience engagement, and seeing #ACTRAAwards trend in Toronto.
Wychwood Open Door Drop-in Centre
Wychwood Open Door is a drop-in centre in Toronto's St. Clair West area, having served community members experiencing homelessness and poverty since 1986.
From 2015 and 2016 I volunteered with Wychwood Open Door as a social media coordinator, managing their Facebook and Twitter accounts to a dedicated following. I also launched and managed a targeted mailing list using MailChimp, and created social media-friendly optimized and assets using Canva, Photoshop and InDesign to promote campaigns and events.
In 2016 and 2017, I live-tweeted Wychwood Open Door's major Trivia Night fundraiser, generating thousands of impressions for #WODTN16 and #WODTN17

How to Cake It
In 2015, I came on board as the Social Media Manager at CJ Creative (now How to Cake It Inc.), creators of the award-winning YouTube behemoth How To Cake It, hosted by cake goddess extraordinaire Yolanda Gampp. I was charged with overseeing all social media and PR efforts to promote the then-new channel, along with daily social media analytics and fan engagement.
My responsibilities included set up and management of the YouTube channel, writing SEO-friendly video descriptions, tracking all social media analytics and monitoring all comments and fan activity.
As a freelance publicist for the indie film Look Again, I set up and managed a full social media and PR strategy to promote the film's Indiegogo fundraising campaign.
Through strategic engagement on all social media platforms with indie film lovers, word got out about the Canadian feature film and the $40,000 fundraising goal was exceeded in under four weeks.

The Beauty Redefined Foundation
In 2014, I volunteered for The Beauty Redefined Foundation as a Twitter coordinator, curating content to a dedicated community of over 4,000 followers to promote body positivity and self-acceptance for women and girls worldwide.
